This is a group called Túumben Paax with whom I worked in Mexico and this piece is a funny work composed by an excellent composer and friend: Francisco Cortés Alvarez. The piece is called “El Naufragio”.

I just saw this website of my friend Yose from Indonesia. He came to LA in order to participate in the Jakarta Project with other students of CalArts. While he was here we recorded a song of his in the digital recording studio at CalArts. This song was written by Yose for the people that survived to the tsunami.
The song is called: “Song for Indonesia” written by Yose Kristian.

CHORAL
A lo Chilango. Performed by Túumben Paax Contemporary Vocal Ensemble. Comissioned by Mujeres en el Arte. COMUARTE.
Calle, ciudad, metro, tráfico, comercio, motos, coches, gente, Lucy hablando con su mejor amiga, desorden, contaminación, son, burla, El Universal, construcciones viejas con nuevas que se funden en un punto conocido: el Distrito Federal. Esta es solo una visión sonora de un día en la ciudad, un día como cualquier otro, un vistazo a la vida chilanga con un poco de burla, efectos sonoros y son. Inspirada en la vida de cada una de las integrantes del ensamble para quien fue escrito. Obra comisionada por la organización Mujeres en el Arte y dedicada al ensamble Túumben Paax.
La organización de Mujeres en el Arte me comisionó una obra para ser estrenada en la inauguración del Encuentro de Mujeres en el Arte. Como las integrantes del sexteto son chilangas y por esos días hablábamos acerca de el ritmo de la ciudad y de como ellas se habían enfrentado a eso decidí componer esta obra.

The Origins of Conflict. Obra escrita para la ópera AH! opera-no-opera dirigida por David Rosenboom.
Fui escogida entre diez compositores-intépretes de todo el mundo para colaborar en esta creación extraordinaria producto de la genialidad de D. Rosenboom.
Esta obra incorpora teatro, danza, música, multimedia y hasta robots preprogramados como uno de los intépretes. Fue una cosa alucinante y fue apoyada por el Trasatlantic Arts Consortium.
El texto fue escrito por Martin Bellen.

El Principio del Universo
Esta es de mis obras favoritas. Les recomiendo leer las notas del: Principio del universo En este documento hablo de porque hice la pieza, como la estructuré y cual fue mi idea original.
Al principio de los tiempos el universo era una vasija que al no poder sostener la luz de Dios se rompió creando pequeños fragmentos esparcidos. Lo que conocemos hoy está roto y necesitamos de una reparación o corrección que nos lleve a restaurarlo y convertirlo a su forma original.

Esta obra también es de mis favoritas. Está inspirada en la obra del pintor mexicano Rufino Tamayo del cual soy fan.
